On 8 October 2015, the Department of European-Central Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held "CICA Day" inspection activities in Tongzhou District, Beijing, for envoys of countries of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (shorted as "CICA") in China. Over 20 envoys or representatives from CICA member states like Kazakhstan, Pakistan and Azerbaijan and CICA observers like Belarus attended the inspection activities.

The envoys first visited construction sand table of the hub area of the Tongzhou Canal to learn about the construction planning of the sub-center of the capital city Beijing and then went to the Painters' Village in Xiaobao, Songzhuang Town to visit exhibitions of artistic works such as the "Exhibition of Sketches on New Look of New Rural Songzhuang by A Hundred Artists" and the pottery workshop in Xiangcun Village. The envoys spoke highly of the development of local cultural and creative industries and expressed willingness to act as go-between for exchanges and cooperation between local artists and those in their countries.

5th October is the "CICA Day" set by CICA member states. The Chinese side now serves as the presidency of CICA from 2014 to 2016. The inspection activities are part of the "CICA Day" events held by China as the presidency.
